Here's what I did, on the HTC Diamond:
- downloaded
http://www.gurjon.com/download/index.ph ... gj5.11.zip (or just go to
http://www.gurjon.com, to the Download section, and download the gjx.yy.zip file, where x and y are version numbers); do not unzip it;
- on the PDA, I created the "Internal Storage\iGO8\content\skin\" folder; if you already have it, skip this step;
- copied the "gj5.11.zip" file to the PDA, into "Internal Storage\iGO8\content\skin\" folder;
- started iGO;
- went to "Settings->second page->Menu->Skin" menu and selected the "GJ5.11 (DVS1&gurjon)" skin;
- restarted iGO.
================
If you want another language, instead of English, you can check the "LANGUAGES" folder on
http://www.gurjon.com's Download section. I'm afraid there is no Spanish yet.
If you find your language's file on
http://www.gurjon.com:
- download the language file you need, for example " lang_hungarian_511.zip"; do not unzip it;
- stop iGO;
- copy the downloaded file to the PDA, into "Internal Storage\iGO8\content\lang\" folder;
- if you have the original iGO language file (for example, "Lang_Hungarian_Pna.zip") in "Internal Storage\iGO8\content\lang\" folder, move it in another folder; otherwise, you will have the old and new language files for the same language; iGO8 will not know which to use;
- start iGO;
- select "Settings->Regional->Program language->your language";
- tap the checkmark;
- restart iGO.
==============
If you don't find your language's file on
http://www.gurjon.com, or it's an older version than the skin (for example, the skin is v5.11 "gj5.11.zip", but you find only v5.10 "lang_french_510.zip" for the French language):
- solution 1: use the file for your language, even if it's older; install it the same way as detailed above; recommended;
- solution 2: use the original iGO8 language file; you install only the skin file (for example, "gj5.11.zip"), not the language file; do not change anything related to language.
Only the new settings will be in English, the old settings will be in your language. This is because Gurjon's language file does not overwrite all the setting titles, only the titles for the new features. Or so I understand.

How to copy a file to the PDA?
If you keep iGO8 on a card, get a card reader:
- this is for Windows XP, but other OSs are similar;
- stop iGO;
- turn off the PDA;
- take the card out from the PDA;
- put the card in the card reader;
- connect the card reader to the computer, for example with a USB-miniUSB cable (should have come with the card reader);
- the card should show up in the computer's Windows Explorer as a portable drive;
- make the copying steps described above, but replace "Internal Storage\iGO8" with "portable drive name\iGO8", where "portable drive name" is something like "E:", "F:" or similar;
- on the computer, close Windows Explorer;
- go to the System Tray (bottom right corner of the screen) and hover the mouse over the icon that has a little green arrow from right towards left; it should look like

;
- left-click on that icon; a text appears ("Safely remove....");
- click on the name of the drive that you copied the files to ("Safely remove....");
- disconnect the card reader from the computer;
- take the card out from tha card reader;
- put the card into the PDA;
- start the PDA;
- continue with the steps described above.
=====================
If you keep iGO8 in the flash:
- this is for the HTC Diamond, WM 6.1, but should work for other PDAs, as well;
- this is for Windows XP, but other OSs are similar;
- on the PDA, go to "Start->Settings->Connections tab->USB to PC";
- check the "Disk Drive" radio button;
- tap the "ok" button in the top right corner of the screen;
- connect the PDA to the computer, with a USB-miniUSB cable (should have come with the PDA);
- the PDA's flash drive should show up in the computer's Windows Explorer as a portable drive;
- make the copying steps described above, but replace "Internal Storage\iGO8" with "portable drive name\iGO8", where "portable drive name" is something like "E:", "F:" or similar;
- on the computer, close Windows Explorer;
- go to the System Tray (bottom right corner of the screen) and hover the mouse over the icon that has a little green arrow from right towards left; it should look like

;
- left-click on that icon; a text appears ("Safely remove....");
- click on the name of the drive that you copied the files to ("Safely remove....");
- disconnect the PDA from the computer;
- on the PDA, go to "Start->Settings->Connections tab->USB to PC";
- check the "Activesync" radio button;
- tap the "ok" button in the top right corner of the screen;
- continue with the steps described above.
Hope I didn't make mistakes in the description.
Constantinus.
