NO WAY! That's what stopped me using some of the skins. I do not want the speed limit on all the time - it is distracting! There's a warn when speeding option - use that!
As I said, if you miss to see the speed limit trafic signal and you are not sure about the speed limit where you are, then the only option is exceeding the road limit + your average setting to get warned. Not too much smart when that info is already available at your navigator.
Knowing the speed limit all the time is very important, in Spain you loose your driver license for 1 month if you exceed the limit more than 50%. It means you are in danger at 180Km/h for a speed limit of 120, not too bad. But you loose driver license with just 75Km/h for a speed limit of 50.
If that small number at the corner distracts you then you better ask skinners to disable compass, line info, own speed, etc.
And also delete building files, dem, height colormaps,... and the rest of ancillary data.
MN6 shows road speed limit all the time.
