Hi all

Have been using the English Gb TTS now for a few days and was wondering if anybody knows how to change some of the instructions: foor example
Turn right on to the A3-- this is ok
turn right onto the A34 - again this is ok
turn right onto the A two hundred and thirty four - surely this should be the A two three four.

300km journey, with Igo 8 v29000, tts voice french low res, DEM range: medium.
in the 1st 100km, I could notice that TMC works fine...but, I Had 3 pna crash too, witth reboot....
My pna memory is set to give max memory to software, and only 1 mo remaining for storage. (59Mo for Igo run)
after the 3rd crash. I changed the voice to non TTS voice.... no more crash,
so: 2 solutions:
Igo has a bug with tts voices
Igo needs a enormous amount of memory to be able to use TTS voices...
Changin HQ TTS voice to LQ TTS voice doesn't change anything..
so I 'll stay with non TTS voice, but' i'll try again once, in a french town, with buidings, to see if i can use TTS, buildings and TMC for more than 1/2h without a crash!!

Upgrade to 8.0.0.35389, I'm sure it will make a huge diference.

I've already try this one...
but with this version , only basic TMC works..., with v29000, basic and pro TMC are working (in france)....
waiting for the V37960(May 2k8) to be "patched"... maybe working!!

J'ai testé sur mio 168 (WM2003SE) la solution du TTS pour win CE4.2 Ca marche très bien. Par contre les messages laissent à désirer !!
De plus c'est gourmand en mémoire et il arrive parfois d'avoir des messages indiquant qu'il n'arrive pas à s'allouer de la mémoire. Coté volume c'est correct.

Is there any Swedish TTS voice available for igo8?

I have searched everywhere for it, the only thing I can fin is standard Swedish voce, no TTS!

Please can someone help me?

No, only a bit faster and smoother. I did not find a way to increase the volume yet.

You can make the sound louder. Do the following:
Open de commands.csv in notepad.(don't use Excel)
Add "\volume=100 " in front of all spoken text. See example below. Now you have loud sound.

I'm trying to modify voice commands to add direction information like "west", "north", etc... I really want to hear this especially on freeways. Please help me to understand and decode voice commands in the commands.csv for example

You quoted my older post, but did not look at the other one on page 17 of this thread... Where do you think this solution came from ? By the way, the "reduced" version (with some warnings removed, i.e. 800-300-100 instead of 800-300-100-50) with the increased volume is in that post.

I think that's somewhere in data.zip
You can find some csv files in there...
One of them contains the positions/distances/timing for al alerts and instructions...

Just delete each row containing 300 meters warnings in commands.cvs.

This problem has been discussed quite a while ago; but has anyone found a solution for iGO8 TTS to say the street name instead of number for ANY and ALL roads that display a number along with the street name at the top of the screen????
