Don't forget the licenses for the picture viewer and travel application. ;)

Anyway, you can easily use options in the SYS.TXT, I think most functions will work from the R3 version. This way I disabled the annoying beep before every announcement, and also disabled menu animation for instance. The only thing I can't get to work is the backlight problem, it always turns off after a few minutes. It only stays on when I change the backlight setting on the device itself.

Also the data file being encrypted is a problem at the moment, I can't modify anything yet.

I thaught that somebody had posted the data file structure for these GRO files. If this file structure is (widely) made available, we (me, or anybody else with programming skill) should be able to built an encrypt/decrypyt application quite easily ... If I can help, just tell me ...

On what device ? PDA or PNA ?

I dont have a license for that, the program already runs it with the license file i got from jetmouse !!!

JetMouse wrote:You don't need those. The application is cracked to enable these even without a license :)

The legit users who buy Amigo would need such a license though

That was what I'm talking about Twingo, normally you need a different license for every single function in iGO. As far as I know there are at least 17 licenses needed to get the full package. Kinda ridiculous of those greedy bastards at NNG.

About the backlight problem, I have this on both my PDA's, and JM also had the problem on his PDA. It doesn't occur on PNA's though, and none of the SYS.TXT options regarding backlight work. Only way is to change the device setting.

This morning i tested it +/- 10 minutes on the city roads and i had no problem with the screen. Now i tested again in demo mode with a route for 50 km (45 min) and i got the backlight problem too. Now i checked my device settings from my device Settings -> Backlight -> Advanced -> On Battery Power -> Turn off when device is not use for 10 min (This option whas on)

I will test it now when the option is off, why ? because iGo Amigo also use the Potrait/Landscape mode from windows mobile. I think it will use this backlight problem too. I will tell you if this is the problem or not.

Edit: No backlight problems anymore, its using the windows settings.

I removed some of the naviextras.com spam logo's, I think these look much nicer, especially the last one

Real modifications can be done very soon I hope ;)

Also TTS is working too on this iGO Amigo, so that's an added bonus as well.

That's not solving anything, that means if you leave your device in your desktop stand (with or without iGO running) the backlight will be on permanent as well.

It should be an option of iGO itself, while running iGO the backlight should be always on, not running iGO it should be normal again. :P

Ppl you don't understand! TMC Clear-Channel USA does not depend on the license or the activation key you enter into your navigation software, but the presence of the signal descrambling routine with the correct deciphering keys (not to be confused with activation keys!!!) CA-TMC (no-key) means either iGO does not have a valid deciphering key or the descrambling routine is simply not present in the executable. The TMC license and the activation keys you are all talking about is just for enabling the software to display traffic events on the TMC info page nothing else.
Let me give you an example: Supposedly you own an iGO release that has these routines incorporated with the correct deciphering keys (ASUS Go release for North America is an example) but you don't have TMC enabled license. The software will still tune to CC channel and will decode the signal, you will se CA-TMC(key-OK), but you will have no actual traffic info shown up on your TMC info page ... and that's it! Hope this time you understand folkz 8)

JM

Yeah in other words it does work , only iGo Amigo does not have a option for that ;). The same thing is with the screen rotation.

Dear JetMouse!

So this means, that it may be possible, to have enabled TMC in release 53558?

Can You help me in this topic? I am waiting since ages for a version with Oasis and TMC support... 53558 is able to find the TMC receiver, even the radio station ios tuned, but no events are shown!

Can You do something with the software, to display messages?

Thank You in advance,

Regards,

LZF: Your intro screen and stickers looks great, however I don't think it's a good idea to release with that ones, because this site may will get too much attention for law-protect corporations (IMHO)
