Anyone help with this problem I have, I have tried running this software on a VRVD640G which is a car inDash unit running winCE 5, the program starts up fine, actually a lot quicker than on my Mio C320, but it shuts off after 3 seconds saying the battery is low, as I said this is running on a car InDash unit, so I don't know why the software thinks the battery is dead, I have changed in control panel to run on AC power but it still shuts off after 3 seconds still thinking the battery is dead.

So my question is this, is there anyway to stop the navigon software looking for the battery level, it would be really cool if i could run this on my in VRVD640G




Got it working, and the menus are fast, like Igo8 fast, also route planning is like IGO8, if anyone has the same unit as mine I would be glad to upload the contents of my SD card, the only thing it crashes on is the help me screen, I get an illegal operation, everything else works great.

What did you do to make it so it won't shut off after 3 seconds?

What u needed is completed maps and change gps port to 1, baudrate to 9600 and disable TMC

what template file I should edit to fix the fonts? I know template111.dat is for the main navigation screen, but which one is for the MyRoute screen? thanks

i found out the vrvd640g unit only have 48 MB RAM (46,796KB RAM). does anybody know how to improve the performance
because the map display very low.

the builds posted here do not seem to work with TMC here in the US. Why? Can anyone talk about what the differences are between them or what needs to be tweaked/modified to make it work in the US? This is really the only thing I cannot make work properly.

Is there any comprehensive information on the 7300 software in general? I know there are a lot of posts on tiny portions of it but what about the overall layout of the software and what files can be tweaked/modified. Is there a site on the net that has this information?

I don't know much about this forum, but it seems to be European oriented in terms of maps, etc... I also notice that quite a few requests for information/software are ignored/missed/forgotten. Maybe because this thread is rather lengthy... but I am curious to know why so many people post that they have gotten something working but don't really say how or respond to those asking what they did to get it working. There is also a lack of a thread that is a comprehensive account for how to set things up. It's difficult to go through hundreds of posts just to find that one piece of information you need...

All the European maps seem to be available. But the North American Q1-2009 Maps are non-existent. Are the US people just stingy and unhelpful or what? I've seen plenty of requests for them but no ones says much of anything about them... again, just curious

Buhahahaha...I think you nailed it. Several times people posted here and elsewhere that they have the maps but "don't know where to upload them"...after everyone stopped salivating, there were no maps posted.

Or maybe our copyright laws aren't as flexible. Have anyone noticed that all of the pirate sites are based in Europe and not USA?

i run it on my medion 465T (480_272) and it is OK but TMC doesn't run anyway
to run it i had to change Hardwarelayer.dll with another.
i test it on my sdcard where i have also v648 and this version show me v648 too
