Does this mean you use NA maps Q3_2008 (US + CAN) together with software version 7.4.0??

It is not working for me though EU maps Q1_2009 works fine. Can you give us a list of your contents of map-folder?

Hey, fellas.
I've tried doing everyhing, even read through all the thread and tried to find a fix, but with no luck.
My device is BECKER, it's a PNA with 320x240. I've copied all the files into my SD card, but nothing happens when I double click MN7.exe or MN7.mscr.
Please, can you suggest me what to do, cause I am out of ideas. I've spent all day tried to solve this matter.
I'd appreciate your help.

Make sure that you are using compatible poicats.nfs, landmarks.nfs etc files. If these files in your map directory do not say Q3_2008, then you are using wrong version.

I have MN7.4 running with Q3_2008 NA maps on my Navigon 2100T. There are a couple of issues that I am hoping someone can help me with:

1. When I press power button on my GPS briefly, GPS goes to sleep mode (as it should). However when I wake it up by pressing power button again, the MN7.4 application does not respond. I have to restart the GPS by shutting it down completely.

2. The TMC service does not work. Is it possible to copy some files from MN6 and get it to work?

Thanks.

Thanks to many of you guys, I have MN7.4 loaded and running on my Navigon2100. However, it seems that MN7.4 is not talking to GPS chip. I dont get any GPS signal. When I check GPS status, everything is just blank. Even the GPS clock is blank. Is there a port or something like that which I have to change to make it talk to internal GPS chip? Thanks for any help.

You must set the port and baudrate.
In UserSetting:
<GPS>
<type> 2 </ Type>
<GPSPort> 2 </ GPSPort>
<Baudrate> 57600 </ Baudrate>
<DRVPrefix> </ DRVPrefix>
</ GPS>

##############################
In CoreConfig:

[Default Sensor Gps Serial]
ConnectionType = 1
Port = 2
Baudrate = 57600
TimeOut = 5

Try varying the number of attempts and the Port Baudrate.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I was able to change these settings and get it to work.

Just for the benefit of anyone who faces similar problem, the settings for Navigon 2100 are

Connection Type = 2
Port = 1
Baudrate = 4800

Also tried this last part, but still I only see the first Navigon picture and nothing more happens. I have a 8Gb SD memory card, the rest is as was.

Thanks

Hello.
My problem is that I can not get the TMC, although I have the TMC / RDS Navigon box of exactly that which attaches to the USB and Power.
For the rest my Navigon 3110 works perfectly.

Advisor.nfs
coreconfig.ini
Contryprofiles.nfs

location:
\map
\settings
\settings\core

further files dd_?.bin for example dd_car.bin
in location

Would appreciate your input on this.
I have just put everything into NAVIGON directory instead of root directory and now I get as far as the choice icons of Navigation and Images, but Navigation Icon does not respond.

Thanks

Hello.

I installed MN7.4 on Navigon3110, I must say that is amazing, works as a die, I tried all the techniques and two you've posted before, but I get once the TMC without Panorama, Panorama once without TMC.

Is not that case, you have successfully invented a genius?
I tried all settings but nothing of nothing.

For this release of MN7, you have to put everything in a directory e.g. navigon7. Dont put this in root directory as it will interfere with MN6 (if you have it there). Once you have it in separate directory, then from Miopocket, click your way to exe file (MN7.exe or Navigon.exe - whatever it is called in your setup) inside navigon7 directory and launch it. If you can get it to work that way, that would tell you that application runs on your device. Then you can modify a few files in miopocket to create an icon and link that exe files to that icon (read the readme file in miopocket if you want to go that route).

garfield207,
What is miopocket? I have the Navigon device not a PDA so I dont have access to directories. The only thing I see is the Navigation Icon which when I press does nothing. Any ideas on that?

thanks
