NO .dat = NO TMC-PRO

Yes I am crazy because I PURCHASED TMC PRO for 49,95 EUR. There is no .dat file for TMC pro. I f you smart guy think that there is a .dat file for TMC Pro than give me the COMPLETE name of that file. I you buy TMC Pro and download it with Navigon Fresh you will see that NOTHING is downloaded only changes to Settings are made.

On the link you give (the English one) only TMC Pro for 2110, 2100 and 2150 is available. On the German site however, TMC Premium is available for 7210 and 22xx. I bought the one for 7210. Works perfectly with my 7210 of course AND WORKS PERFECTLY with my MDA Vario III with and USB TMC receiver. After purchase, Navigon Fresh isn't downloading anything, no .dat, nothing. The file size is indicated as 0 bytes. Navigon Fresh is just changing device.xml.

And, there are no TMC Pro .dat files either on my 7210.

@Timosha
now you say for 7210 TMC-PRO work = thats tru, on PNA its work!
but we talk about PDA -- you know the different PNA - PDA ?
and of corse PNA have .dat inside for TMC-PRO( MobileNavigator.res )- i see you don't have any clue about NAvigon

once again -- TMC-PRO don't work on PDA !

This Version works on my HTC Wizard too.

...the only thing that still causes trouble is the Reality View. When Navigon starts to display it, a little error window pops up, saying something about a memory adress problem.

Does anybody have a solution for it (exept disable Reality View)?

Thx,

I live in the Netherlands, next week I am again in Germany and can make screen shots of TMC Premium. In Holland I can only receive regular TMC.

By the way, I checked the MobileNavigator.res file of my wife's Navigon 8110, it was delivered with TMC Pro. It is exactly the same as the .res file of the 7210 and the one for PDA. The only major differences between the PDA .res file you posted in this thread and the .res file of our 7210/8110 PNA systems is the Landscape/Portrait resolution and the TryBeforeBuy .dat files.

As you can see I know a tiny little bit about Navigon.

Technically there is no difference between TMC and TMC Pro. Both are FM broadcast sub-carrier RDS signals which can be and will be received by every FM RDS radio receiver. TMC is not differently coded than all the other PTY RDS signals, but TMC Pro is encrypted and can not be used without decryption key. For Navigon (PDA or PNA) this key is in device.xml. And this key is : C1P0 FEH8Y2-2N9Y97-78F225 C1P0

In Germany TMC is transmitted by the public broadcast organizations of ARD (WDR,BR, SWF, NDR, Hr, etc...) and TMC Pro is transmitted by T-Systems via commercial FM radio stations.

If you want to play with the latest PNA software, 7.3.4, let me know.

I'm running it on an Asus A636N and it runs. My problem is I can't get the lane assistant to work and the screen doesn't smooth scroll. The scolling updates every 1-2 seconds, but the speech is right on. Any help would be appreciated. I have the advisor.nfs file in the map directory.

Thanks.
