When i download the Denmark "Q1-2011" maps from the thread here on mobilism it seems that they are not in fact Q1-2011 maps.

Opening the file with a file reader i find this inside the map file :

Map.ProductionDate=20101029-092629
Map.Region=EU
Map.Release=Q310

So these maps are actually Q3-2010 maps as far as i can see.

Does this mean that there is no Denmark maps newer than Q3-2010 available for navigon ?

Right now we are at Q2-2011 and it seems odd that they would not have released new maps in the last ½ year.

EDIT : Going to Croatia on holiday and downloaded the Croatia maps from the same megaupload page that is linked to on mobilism and that map has the exact same Q310 and production dates as the Denmark map.

If you startup Navigon then press Search POI and then press google at the bottom it doesnt work.

It worked on 2.6.1, any ideas?

I know it's not of much help with your problem, but the POI google search works ok here on 3.5.4.

However, i still can't install the MN7 2011 Q1 Europe Maps - i've tried several different downloads, but keep getting a message that Navigon needs more files

Navigon Fresh dont give me any maps. I want to use Sweden map only and have download all files .sfs and map

i got it working on htc wildfire, except reality view it dont seem to work is there something i need to download or is it not all maps who supports it ?? i got the 3.5.4 update automatic through android market.

Hi. Thanks for sharing. While I used froyo I was on 3.5.3 which worked fine. I'm now on android 2.3.3 gingerbread and the 3.5.3 says something like unexpected failure ocurred shutting down app, and it won't start. Anyway to fix this? Does version 3.5.4 work fine? Will it work if I get it from the market? I'm using european version.

EDIT: Just updated to 3.5.4 through market, working fine!

[*] On your PC, install Navigon Fresh and register WITH A NEW USER NAME. Connect your Android device via USB so Fresh can see it. Install anything onto it, such as a map update or safety cameras. Then unmount.

This is where it gets sketchy for me. It simply refused to work, then I read somewhere that they deleted the Navigon directory (backing up the XML first) and then it ran. I did do this, but I also did a Clear Data in Applications as well. Then, bingo, it all started working. Double-check you have edited the Settings.XML file correctly as well. This was a cause of some of my early problems.

The US version was not touched at all during this time. I think this might have helped, but can't be sure.

The Clear Data option also helped me start downloading maps for the US version. It was stalling all the time.

I basically cobbled together pieces across forums and spent about 3 hours trying to get it all to work. I'm glad it does now! Hope I have helped.

There is no Setting.XML on the SD-Card?? There is just a version.XML. In my opininion, the EU 3.5.4. you posted is the same file like the US 3.5.4. Thats why i cant get maps of the EU trough Fresh, only the US Maps. But i dont want them. Everything works fine, but i just get maps for the usa. Please help me!

This method did not work.

Installed US Version = o.k. but I´am not able to install any map. Fresh said: Not registrated.
Modified the version.xml.
Then tried to install the EU version. Installation not possible. End.

Deleted Navigon-Folder and leave the modified version.xml inside. Cleared cache...

Nothing.

i managed make app working with samsung i9000..but how i install those maps?wich quarter from what year is working with it?from navigon fresh i can only download finland q3/2010(streetfirst) what is that?no addresses find with it,map working but cant navigate with it...should i download q3 2010 maps for it?

Hi all..

I have followed all the steps but it did not work on my Huawei U8800. In stead of Navigon fresh Version 3.2, Version 3.31 must be updated.

Navigon can recognize "Navigon MN EU Select" with MicroSD Card and SDHC-Cardreader, although I have created three new accounts in Navigon Fresh, it shows nothing in "my purchased maps" and in "free maps" , both fields are blank.

What could I do now?

Navigon 3.6.0 is out..

Anyone know if it will be safe to upgrade if i installed 3.5.4 with the guide from this thread. ?

I updated to 3.6.0 and now I can only download maps of Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland (from Navigon Fresh or Navigon Select).

The maps I had installed (Spain, Italy, France, Portugal) still work, though. I'm updating now to a 2011 Q1 pack to see if they work.

When I updated to 3.6.0 it downloaded all the EU maps in one go via WiFi.

I wonder if the downloaded maps are newer than 2011 Q1 ? How can one check the version?

just installed the new 3.6.0 and also update it with Fres. Can't spot any differences, still Q4 maps. Also after I pluged back in my phone, it still says it needs more files :S so DON'T UPDATE YET
