Still comes up to the screen with the 4 options
-purchase and go
-begin free trial
-enter product key
-connect to a garmin GPS

how can i fix this

When you use keygenerator you should write your CardID in UnitID field (actually you don't need device id for anything). I know that it doesn't sound logical but that's how it is.

I have a Mio C520.
Whenever I have the SW.UNL file in the garmin folder the app just loads the garmin screen and then crashes.
If I dont have the SW.UNL file in the garmin folder it loads to the Purchase, free trial screen, etc.
I have garmin XT 4.2 installed successfully. But this 5.0 just wont work.

This is from my errorlog.txt file:
[4/1/07 12:20:48 32756KB 5.00.20wp]
WARNING: Assert failed at CDP_GFXField.cpp : 333 in Garmin Mobile XT with error 0

Anyone have any ideas?

Just as an FYI to anyone else having the same issue. I upgraded to the latest Version of Miopocket (Release 41)
And now Garmin XT 5.00.20wp is working!

I am using Garmin XT on Omnitech GPS (bought from staples). Everything works fine. Only problem I have is that once I reboot the GPS all the settings (home location, recent history, favorites etc) are gone. What do I need to retain these settings?? I also use Igo 8 in the same GPS and it does retain all the settings.

Omnitech GPS doesn't have hard drive and it boots from the SD card.

Any suggestions ???

Thanks.

Garmin saves it settings in \Garmin. There are scripts in the first post to copy the settings to the SD Card. You start the program with Garmin.exe MortScript.

You are not the only one. All dedicated GPS devices are in the same position. Solution is simple and is already on every forum. Garmin saves all data in \Garmin folder. Unfortunately that folder is in RAM of the device so it will be deleted after you shut off your device. What you need to do is to copy those files to a SD card after you exit Garmin XT. So instead of running garmin executable (Que.exe) you should make mort script file and put lines similar to these:

XCopy("\SDMMC\Garmin\Garmin\*.*","\Garmin",True,True)
RunWait("\SDMMC\Garmin\Apps\WM\Que.exe")
XCopy("\Garmin\*.*","\SDMMC\Garmin\Garmin",True,True)

Hi guys,
I readed 1000 forums but haven't find solution of my problem. Shortly: unit is HP iPAQ 310, Garmin XT if is locked (without SW.UNL) works fine (if we can say it fine without gps). But when i callculate right SW.UNL (i make more then 100 diferent codes) after a 10-15 seconds program crashes with thi error: "Asset filed at utl_cnv_time.c 707 in PVT main with error 0". I try everithing from here with mortscript and without. With portspliter manually started (new version 1.3 writes settings in separate file, no in registry). No Success at all!!!

Did someone manage to run Garmin XT ot HP 310 (312, 314, 316, 318)???

p.s. Sorry for my bad english.

Some PNAs do not show a Card ID. Do you see both in About?

If not, rename an unlocked gmapsupp.img to gmapprom.img See viewtopic.php?p=268303#268303 about Card ID

There are several in the maps section: viewforum.php?f=253

It is best if you have a map for your location to test.
