when i run garmin it will show the port splitter ,so when i change to gps com7 n run it will show (read access violation data address,program address 0x00073284 in backgroud thread null,what problem is it ?help

has anyone gotten this to work on a mio c310x?
i followed the instructions and rename the dll as posted in first post, but when i run garmin.exe, nothing happens.

edit: just read somewhere that port splitter is for wince 5 only. So i deleted port splitter section on script and now it runs. however, w/o port splitter, how do you tell garmin where your gps is located? nevermind..it detected automatically once i activated the software. what's the port splitter for anyways?

Thanks a lot for your help! The link you gave me is the THAI version, but I've successfully converted to TAIWAN version by changing the locale in the "gmsup" file and overwriting the "voices" folder from GarminMobileXT_5_00_30_WM_TW.exe (Garmin Taiwan official update). Now I can put HK, China, and NA maps there!

However, for some reason the program does NOT save any settings. Everytime I shut down my device, the settings are gone...Any thoughts?

I manage to run garmin XT with my 7" doube din HU. (After 5 days try and error)

I set autorun path to explorer.exe and from there i need to do few things :
1. Run mortscript.exe
2. Run garmin.mscr

My inquiry here is , is there anyway i can make the explorer automatically run both 2 files above when the explorer is executed.

MortScript comes with an autorun.exe. If you name it the same as the .mscr, for example garmin.exe you do not have to run MortScript.exe first. Run garmin.exe.

To autostart,
1 .Click My device and find the garmin.exe.
2. Click File > Send T0 >Desktop as Shortcut.
3. Copy \Windows\Desktop\Garmin.lnk to Windows\Startup\

Can u explain by rename mortscript.exe to garmin.exe? Here is my dir structure :
\storage card\garmin\rungmtx
Inside rungmtx folder have these files :
1.garmin.exe
2.garmin.mscr
3.mortscript.exe
4.and other files...

Do i need to copy mortscript.exe to dir \storage card\garmin and then only i rename to garmin.exe . ? Because i cannot have 2 garmin.exe with same folder rite ? (\storage card\garmin\rungmtx)

Other things, to start garmin with my HU i need to click it manually from explorer . Actually this HU have run path to automatically run an application . So When i use iGO i set the run path to iGO.exe . But for garmin when i set run path to garmin.exe nothing will load. And the run path cannot see garmin.mscr . It only can see exe files.

So as solution from the run path i set to anthema explorer. From there i will manually go to \storage card\garmin\rungmtx and click these 2 files :
1.mortscript.exe
2.garmin.mscr

This had to be done every time i switch off the HU.
