Anyone can confirm or test the map on a road , and let us know?

I dont want to have doubts of a working/nonworking map before I upload them for the respected members of this forum.

People living on Slovakia from other forums says, that the City Navigator 2008 version 10.01 (Slovak Republic) is better (more detailed) than Slovakia Roads 6.

That must be strange... I am not living there, but it would be really strange that the local map provider is doing a worse job then telatlas or navteq.

Send me please a PM with the forum links.

EDIT: I compared all three maps (City Navigator and the v5 and v6 maps).

Definetely by routing and POI details the winner is v6 map.
So the map is working and its more detailed then the v5 version.
That means that the old v5 was a NON NT version, and the new one is for sure NT version.

Not recommended for use.

I can give you other examples that shows the opposite:

Compare the city center of TRNAVA

You will see better coverage on SK Roads v6 then from CN EU2008.
SK Roads has much more POI`s inside also with detailed addresses and tel. numbers for example.

But, as I said on the other topic...use what you like or prefer, its anyway free!

I think that's the same with every map. eg. the Hungarian map is 99% better with NaviGuide 5.0, but in 1% CNEU2008 is more detailed...

I have a problem, Garmin Nuvi 660, version 4,60 + new map from firt post (with gpmapa 2088.2, lithuania 1.04NT, turkey, etc). Garmin starts normaly, see all maps, but when I choose WHERE TO? --> Adress - I cannot choose any country... Only what is working: WHERE TO --> Cities (but in this way I cannot write adress). Any ideas how to fix it?

I found solution. There is a bug in GPMAPA 2008.2 box - when I disable this map in map-info - everything is working fine...

Maybe it's time already to make version incl. scandinavia ;-) All of new symbian phones, windows mobile devices, garmin devices support SDHC Card which are already very cheap (4GB card cost around 15-17 euro)

sorry but I am not agree.

this limit ( 2 Gb ) it is ok for 99% of the devices.
do not forget about limit of file system , here can have trouble also

it is better to split if the map exceed the 2 Gb limit ( and most of the garmin have 2 Gb memory and this map fit perfect )

Question: What is the largest SD card that my nüvi can use?
Answer: If your nüvi has the latest version of operating software, you can use the following maximum SD card size:

nüvi 2xx: 4Gb
nüvi 3xx: 2Gb
nüvi 6xx: 2Gb
nüvi 7xx: 4Gb
nüvi 8xx: 4Gb

The nüvi units are compatible with both normal Secure Digital (SD) data cards and Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) data cards.
