Ok boyz,

To make everybody happy I've made one more version of Unlock Generator that enables
a full customization of all input fields (such as PID, RgnID, VenID), when generating unlocks in custom mapset mode.
With this version you should be able to unlock every product on the market using current Garmin locking technology.

Garmin Unlock Generator v1.5 Final

Changelog:

- added support for customization of additional input fields (such as PID, RgnID, VenID)
when generating unlocks in custom mapset mode.
- some major City Navigator maps updated
- some minor bugs fixed

I haven't implemented the Trial field for a purpose ... hope you can guess why 8)

Enjoy!

So, to unlock Bluechart Americas Region US030-12, after MAPID 291, which numbers would go in which category? (hoping this isn't a complicated question)

Hi

If you d/L BC America 2008 you will have all regions unlocked with the traditional way.
BC is a "traditional" map.
Do not change anything except map ID

Hi, I am a new GPS kid in the blocks.

Try software unlock successfully with kg 1.5.
Problem is that I could not unlock and use Thailand Street Map TSM8.0. I was using unlock mapset FID =57, PID=1, RegionID=46, VendID=4. I am not sure what I've done wrong.

Please help me JetMouse.

Thanks a lot in advance.

PID is for Product ID and VenID is for Vendor ID. Note that these and others are unofficial names which are never found/documented in any Garmin public publications. You can name them whatever you want.

The default setting {MapID, PID, RgnID, VenID}={MapID, 1, 0, 0} will work for 99% of the maps on the market. For a few custom made maps such as MalSingMaps, set the PID to 0 which is a wildcard. The wildcard can be used for regular maps too.

The only cases that have unusual ID values so far are those Guides as below.

Garmin Language Guide = {900, 2, 0, 0}
Garmin Travel Guide, Europe = {900, 1, 1, 1}
Garmin Travel Guide, Fodor's North America = {900, 5, 1, 0}
UK Safety Camera = {900, 9, 1, 21}

To follow up syzygy's description,

Garmin Mobile XT = {0x323, 1, 0, 0}
Garmin Mobile PC = {0x323, 3, 0, 0}
