How do we turn on TMC? What com port should be used? Hope you can shred some light on this. Thank you.

The TMC in the PC version is broken. The included GPSTMC.dll is actually the PDA version. I have been trying without success (so far) to find a suitable PC version. I have tried with v3.0.3.1, v1.0.0.34 and v4.0.9.1 for the PC. If anyone has any other versions, please post here!

I was actually asking for the TMC for PDA version. So if GPSTMC.dll is there for PDA, how do I configure it to activate TMC?

What sort of GPS and TMC receiver do you have - and does it connect via bluetooth or cable?

I am using HTC Kaiser with internal GPS, and using Destinator 7 you've uploaded. The navigation routing, although a little slow on computing longer route, was on par with other GPS softeware. However I do not know how to configure to use the TMC feature (If it is free).

Any insight?

You need a TMC receiver. This picks up traffic information via an FM radio signal. The Kaiser only has a GPS receiver. Some other apps (e.g. route 66 and Tomtom) can get traffic information via the internet over GPRS (i.e. mobile phone network); strictly speaking, this isn't TMC - TMC refers to RDS (FM Radio) based traffic information. Your options are to get a standalone TMC receiver (like a GNS FM9) or a combined GPS/TMC device (like a GNS 5833). Destinator 7 supports GPS/TMC devices made by royaltek and GNS only.

- Do not install the patched SVOX dll AND the license key patch from destinator - do one OR the other, not both
- Make sure you have installed a TTS voice (use one of the language cab files that have 'TTS' in the name)
- Select the correct voice in options->Language (the TTS ones have a check box for 'say road names')
- Check the options->prompts that you have the correct things turned on there too

Destinator doesn't support 240x240 does it? Can't seem to get it to display properly on my treo.

Anybody have the .wav files for UK english voice for Dest 7 with TTS? I've previously converted the .spx to .wav using Ease audio converter, but it won't run on Vista. In fact can't find any converter that runs using Vista.

Australia

MapBuildID=1345 Australia
SENSIS Version 2007.Q1.5244. HLG4,MG1.4, Toll roads, D01, Signed map.
http://rapidshare.com/files/82316238/Australia.rar.html (83.8Mb rar)

Supports TTS. This map has full POI data and is much better than the previously posted Sensis Version 2006.Q1.4262.

It may be worth worth comparing with (previously posted):

NAVTEQ Version 2007.Q2.7389. Reduced POI, HLG4, V1.4, Toll RoadS, WES2.
http://rapidshare.com/files/81933596/Australia.rar.html (55Mb)

PS You may need to copy the 'GloStreetTypes.txt' (from Destinator\Language\All) to the 'Australia' file for TTS. Not sure on this one. But I've done it and TTS works. :)
