PS You may need to copy the 'GloStreetTypes.txt' (from Destinator\Language\All) to the 'Australia' file for TTS. Not sure on this one. But I've done it and TTS works.

You may be just down the road if you're in Wahroonga- but who cares, you are wonderful.

Anybody have the .wav files for UK english voice for Dest 7 with TTS? I've previously converted the .spx to .wav using Ease audio converter, but it won't run on Vista. In fact can't find any converter that runs using Vista.

Its OK. Found Total Audio Converter which works well in Vista. By the way needed to convert .spx to .wav so that the voice would work in PC version of Dest.

You must convert any speedcam POIs into destinator 'DAT' format (use POIEdit - google it, it's free and use tools->batch convert). Put these along with the bmp files in the favourites folder. You may then enable the new favourites categories and enable the alerts too. Note the bmps should be 256 colour (8 bit) and up to 32x32 pixels in size.

\DestinatorApps\Destinator\UserData\Favorites on the PDA

and you go into the 'Go to'->'Favourites' menu and click the checkbox.

Here's a little tutorial based on your instructions

You should be able to activate them with this procedure on the SD card. You may need an SD card reader, or use active sync to access the SD card depending on your GPS.

Go to PoiPlaza and download the poi or camera data you wish to use.

The following example is for Australian Speed Cameras.

Put the .dat and .bmp files in the ‘favourites’ folder.

The folder is:

PDA: DestinatorApps\Destinator\UserData\Favorites

PNA: Destinator\UserData\Favorites

Then start up Destinator and go to the 'Go to'->'Favorites' menu.



You may then enable the new favourites categories (which will be listed with their icons) and enable the alerts (1st alert and 2nd alert proximity alarms).



If you are not using ‘poiplaza data’, you must convert any speedcam POIs into Destinator 'DAT' format (use POIEdit - google it, it's free and use tools->batch convert).

Note: The bmps should be 256 colour (8 bit) and up to 32x32 pixels in size. The speedcams in this example are 22x22.

Thanks very much. How I do I change the Home address. The menu in Destinator is one of the worst I think. Why cant they make it simple. ???
