Why is there an alerts file and where is it good for?

When you import the kml file, NDrive stores the speedcam data in the alerts file.
The kml file needs to have a special format, not standard google earth. I know that the german speedcam file works, because I created it and I use it.
Try to delete the alerts file before you import the kml.

BTW: The alerts file is a sqlite database that you can open with the tool I posted earlier...

Thanks for reply and sqlite3Explorer, i will try to open the alerts-file. So is it correct,that when i once imported the kml´s, i can delete the kml´s from ndrive\speedcams? I want to make a speedcam database with Germany, Belgium & Netherlands, but these will be more as 10000cams...

Now that we have the great, and almost perfect version of NDrive 3.5.18 on our devices, the one problem I am suffering, whenever I import SpeedCam file, it always seems to select a default icon to assocaite with speedcams, and not the one I ask it too. I have copied the graphic into the SpeedCam folder, along with the KML file. The KML file imports fine, as I can see them on the map, and it tells me then when passing.... however it uses an icon like a man, but in green... which I am assuming is built into NDrive. I have copied the Speedcam.png file to both \NDrive\Speedcam\, \NDrive\Favorites\ and \NDrive\Image_Favorites\ yet still get this same icon of a man in green.

How can I assocaite either my Speedcam.png file, either by doing it properly in first place or by editing the SQL3 Database file...?? As I did see a KML file ages ago that had a reference to the image within it, but cant seem to find that now...?? Any idea's...???

Is it possible to add multiple images to the speedcams, ie: Gatso 50mph.png, Gatso 60mph.png, Mobile 50mph.png, Mobile 60mph.png, Redlight.png and so on...??

As tried that, and it didnt seem to work at all, not even import all the speedcams seperately. The only way got it to work, is by doing one MASSIVE KML file.... so put a single png to go with it...

Thanks OP .. I manage get it works with My PNA Wince 5.0. It's a good base gps software, and similar to TomTom. Catching the signal really fast, even in the house it locks down the signal.

I have the problem that the display turns off after some time. I succesfully installed 3.5.18 on a HTC Touch HD (latest HTC ROM 2009-04-07). Befor, I had 3.4.19/22/25 running. With 3.5.18 the display turns dark after some time, regardless of the settings. I have switched back and forth between the different display settings, but found no difference. The previuos versions didn't have that problem. Any idea?

Yes, that is correct.
But I think NDrive does not add the data of a second kml file, it will exchange the old data. But you can check with the sqlite3explorer.
So you may need to combine your kmls into one kml first.

That is true, you cannot assign a different icon for speedcams, that works for favorites only.
You need to stick to the green man for all different speedcams (NDrive only knows 3 types: fixed, hidden, tunnel).
The only thing you could do is to change the green man into something else, by changing the specific png file in the images.zbi file.

Ah ha, I knew ya would know it....

Hmmm, ok... this is whats letting NDrive down at the moment.... in order to be better, I feel it needs too:-

1) Allow to import more than one KML file at anyone time. As I suspected, when adding my cams individually that they were not being added, its because it only processed the first file.

2) Allow to alter the images (or at least handle the import better) of custom artwork for POI.

3) Allow for more Speedcams than 10,000.... as some countries (like UK) has hundreds of the little buggers

4) Bit clearer interface when navigating.... so ya know what all the numbers are scattered across the screen.

Using a Kaiser with a WM6.5 ROM, I've been able to run NDRIVE, for some strange issue, after flash a WM6.5 ROm with MEM FIX, whenever I install NDRIVE, after run 2577/Cab, the app hangs no screen is shown, and onloy can be acessed thru hardkeys like I'm using a smartphone.

Any ideia ?

Probably because your new ROM gives your device new ID. Try installing it again, and don't forget to delete appdata and ndri3.ndr.

That happen after a clean new rom flash, no other Ndrive files left, thanks for the reply

I wonder if someone can help me.

I installed Ndrive 3.5.18, Prt & Esp 2.13 maps, with the "navigation.chc" provided, in my navigon 2100 wince5, with miopocket, and it is working nice, but only with this two problems :

1 - I go to options, select to display all the POIs in map, and they do, but when i quit Ndrive to miopocket and then run Ndrive soft again, all the POIs are gone from map, and i must select them all again in settings, for they appear again.

2 - I simple can't add favorites. I go to map select something and i add it to favorites, but when i go to the favorites menu they simply aren't there, the menu is empty. If i try to add from the favorites menu, it gives an fatal application error and exits to miopocket. (The favorites folder in ndrive folder is empty)

Someone have those problems to ?

Do you know any setting(s) that turns street name ON during navigation? Ndrive shows the street names when you just playing around with maps, but during route navigation only the actual street name is visible on the top of the page.
