Do the TTS voices work as well on a PDA?

Remember: This is not an official version, but a testversion to try at your own risk.

Sorry I may have misled you here. I did not install it on a phone but on my Chinese WinCE 5.0 device. I just installed everything from the PNA version zip file and then added the Australian map & speedcam files. Then all needed to do was generate a keygen for the map as usual and away it went. TTS works although I have not had a lot of time to try it out. One thing I did notice is that it said something like "In 200 metres turn left Forrester Street then turn right". It seems it does not include an "into" or "onto" prior to the street name.

Cheers, Ian

Hello,

I have been using Ndrive for a long time on PNA and am familiar with the installation/registration process. But now I installed on PDA (phone) and it won't let me select to enter code. It just wants to connect to register. v9.3.12. Has anyone got a clue how to register maps?

regards,

D.

TESTVERSION NDrive v9.3.12 for PDA and PNA with WinCE5.0 only

This version supports Text-To-Speech (at least on PNA)!
So try the new TTS voices:
Code: Select allJoanaPTP.zbi    - Joana    - Portuguese - computed - 21.1MB
KarenENA.zbi    - Karen    - English AU - computed - 39.4MB
SamanthaENU.zbi - Samantha - English US - computed - 37.3MB

Thanks for this druelie - NDrive TTS works fine on WinCE5 PNA - some refinement of TTS is required but it's workable right now.

This makes NDrive a worthy competitor for those GPS dollars/euros/whatever waiting to be spent.

Hm, for me all 3 TTS voices work fine, but the Australian TTS voice is anyhow much better than the US one...

I don't think it is a maps problem (I have 2.14) - because it doesn't even offer to do it manualy as in PNA version (by entering code). It insists to connect to internet.

Silly me, I missed the bit about tts only working on the three voices.
The Australian voice seems much better than the US one which sounds very synthetic to me.

What happens if you let it connect to the internet?
At least the trial maps should work for 7 days.
