Hi.

I've got a Touch XXL (5'') that I'm trying to update to the latest versions of NDrive.
I managed to get 9.2.44 to run, by copying the files from the zip file to my SDCard _and_ NDrive.exe to /ResidentFlash/NDrive/NDrive.exe.

I have 2 questions:
1) If I try "NDrive v9.3.12, TESTVERSION with Text-To-Speach support", copying NDrive.exe to /ResidentFlash/NDrive, I always get a "Bad Image File" error. I've tried copying 9.3.12 over my original files and I've also tried a fresh install. I always get the same error :(

2) Does anyone have a clue about getting Windows CE to launch /SDMMC/NDrive/NDrive.exe instead of /ResidentFlash/NDrive/NDrive.exe ? I've searched the registry and found a key in HKCU/Software/InfoPortugal/NDrive that points to /ResidentFlash/NDrive/NDrive.exe, but this is always overwritten on a fresh boot :( HLM/Software/Apps/Launch has no key pointing to NDrive.exe ...

Thanks :)

I would say you should wait for the next official NDrive version for your device. Until then, stay at 9.2.44. The changes are very minor.

I really wanted to test TTS, it's one of my favorite features in a nav program.
Any pointers about what the "Bad Image File" error means ?
When the error shows up, the red bar on the bottom of the screen shows it trying to load icons... maybe a missing icon file ?

It sounds like you have mixed files from different versions that do not fit together...

I used a different SD card, since I didn't want to risk any permanent damage to the original files. Before doing anything I also backed up all the files in the device, through Activesync.
First thing I tried was a clean install of 9.3.12 with just one map and the JoanaPT voice.
Eventually I started mixing up the original version + 9.2.44 + 9.3.12 but still no luck.

Incidentally I found that NDrive.exe in /ResidentFlash/NDrive is called by /Windows/launch.exe, so getting it to execute /SDMMC/NDrive/NDrive.exe would be trivial.

I have a minor problem with my NDrive 9.2.44 :

I've changed rom to JC1 ( omnia 2 ) and the fonts of the settings are too small.
I tried changing dpi to 286 or 245, i also put in the settings stretchmap = true, i even changed the gti8000 name to gti8000N ( that's the omnia's code with the JC1 rom ) , but with no luck.

With all my previous roms had no problem at all.
The program is in ''storage card'' , i did no clear installation with the autorun ( also using the NDrive (the folder that goes in the main memory) of my backup so as not to have to enter the codes each time).

Do you have any ideas ?????

Thanks a lot !!!!!!

Try to add the DPI value to the generic [settings] section at the top and not to the [GT-I8000] section of the NDrive.ini file.

Already tried that too, but with no luck ?!?!?!?
The whole software is a kind of small.
Even the map is not zooming as it did, though the ( + ) zoom is at the max.

I had the exact same problem.
I'm not sure how but I got the speedcams to show on my n86.
What I did:
In the previous versions of Ndrive for symbian there were 3 more folders in addition to Ndrive's.
I guess that those folders were removed from the present releases because they didn't seem to affect program's behavior.
Before upgrading to 9.3.14, I tried to copy the additional folders to the card, then installed 9.3.14, added the speedcams files, restarted the program and Voila !
I didn't expect it to work but speedcams the appeared as poles on the road.
You can try to grab the folders from this file:
Code: Select allhttp://rapidshare.com/files/348661540/NDrive_9.3.10_Symbian.rar

You are right, I just tested it on another device and it doesn't work.
I have no idea how what I did that made the speedcams to appear.
Maybe it some sort of strange keys shortcut that I accidentally pressed - the program is full of weird shortcuts.
