See if the Base Files have been downloaded completely. Uninstall the app, delete the folder Aura and reinstall. Then use the Sygic Downloader to download the files again. You can also download the Base Files and Maps provided by me(check the Opening Post for the link) if you can't access WiFi, or for any other reason you don't want/can't download everything again using your phone's data connection. Hope it works for you this time around! Do keep us posted.

Not really! I am running the app without issues on a Rooted Custom GingerBread(2.3.3) ROM by Darky!

Thanks for the app. will try it on my defy and see how it works compared to igo.

EDIT:
Doesn't work. I get black screen :(
it just kills itself. :( guess i'm stuck on igo
EDIT#2:
It seems I have a class10 problem with my SD card and Defy.
Now the Sygic worked just fine. Will try to get new slower card.

Tnx for the great upload.

I just reinstalled 11.0.2 after deleting it because of constant freezes. App2SD offered to move it to the SD-Card which I did, but it doesnt work from SD-Card (This time doesnt even start) So I uninstalled it again and reinstalled it, without moving it to SD, tomorrow I will see if it is working now, but so far no more freezes or FCs

Motorola Defy with Vodafone Froyo 2.2.2 running @1200MHz

Update:
Routing/navigation worked for about 1km, then my mobile was frozen, just one last try: starting Sygic without the cardock app (I use car dashboard)
Defy freezing after 2-3 km
Finally: Sygic will be uninstalled definitely, because after Sygic freezing my Defy it needs some fiddling with the GPS settings to make GPS work again.

I have seen several people having issues running the app on their MOTO DEFY, while others haven't complained much. I see that Moto Defy is in the compatible list according to the official website. Hmm... The bug probably went unnoticed.

As for moving the files to External SD, just cut-copy the folder Aura to your external SD through a PC, and you should be fine. You may find instructions to do so, and links to base files and maps for all countries "HERE", in case you can't download the files using your mobile data connection.

The app reroutes itself when you take a route not suggested by it in real time. You don't have to change the route manually. You only have to select a destination, and keep going...

yes i know, but if you don't know where to go to bypass jam? i'm talking about option to select when you know the traffic jam is forming on the route (e.g. by cb radio). i think some think like that was included to automapa, but that program isn't available on android...

check the manual http://www.sygic.com/en/support

i think there is an option to calculate an alternate route while driving but I'm not sure. I think you can also eliminate a segment of your route in the options while driving
