how can i get those two base files to the phones internal memory? Should i have rooted htc desire to do that?

As i understand in phones root there should be a folder called aura and inside that two base files. And on external sd card also aura folder with maps.

Two Base Files? There is only one 'Base Files' folder named 'Aura'. And it can be simply copied to the external_sd. And you need not have your phone 'rooted' in order to use this app. 'Root of the SD card' here is an equivalent of the MS Windows path, say, "C:/". You can find instructions in my post on Page 10. If thats hard to navigate to, just go to the opening post and find the link to my post. Let me know if you need more help.

You wrote on page 10:

1. In the computer, move all contents except database.xml and base-is-ok.txt from Aura folder on the internal phone memory to a folder called Aura on the external sd card. So after this process, on the internal phone memory, there should be a folder called Aura with 2 files in it: database.xml and base-is-ok.txt and on the external sd card in the Aura folder should be all the files needed by Sygic(Maps, Res, etc).

What i dont understand here is that you talk about internal and external memory.

database.xml and base-is-ok.txt should be in phones internal memory not in phones external sd card? If yes, then how do i get these two files there? ( i understand that these two files should be in directory called "aura" and that directory should be in phones internal memory).

EDIT:

Ok, it was too easy, thus too difficult :P

I got it now. I put all on external card and it works :)

Thanks a lot :)

I'm glad you found it. It was hard for me to understand initially too. And I tried my best to explain. Android uses 'sdcard' for (what we have been calling ever since mobile phones were introduced) the 'internal/phone memory, and 'external_sd' for (what we have been calling....) 'memory card/sd/microsd', etc. They also confuse us with the word 'root'.

Every time I run this, screen goes black after the Sygic downloader runs. Even tried with v11.0.1 - it auto-updated to latest and did the same. Samsung Galaxy S

Why you people are using v11.0.1 when there is a newer version 11.0.2 which might fix all your problems? You can find it in this very forum too..

I first tried v11.0.2, then, because it didnt work, I went back to the previous. Still, v11.0.1 also auto-updated to the latest release.
I now tried the app with no cracks from market, it works, at least for the next 7 days I'm fixed =)

Is anyone else having issues with the "muting music" while using this? It didn't work for me in 11.0.1 and since upgrading to 11.0.2 it's still not working and I thought it was meant to.

I think it's been mentioned already but, it wouldn't be anything to do with the issue when you check which version you have and in the app it says 11.0.1 while in app manager it says 11.0.2?

It's a shame because it's a great app. It just a little pointless when you can't hear it over your music.

I have the same problem. I expected this version of Sygic Aura beacuse I've seen on Sygic forum that the music muting function activated, so the function is available in the newest version of Sygic Aura. So I've installed the latest one but it didn't downloaded any additional basefile - wich is very suspicious beacuse all the older versions downloaded newer basefiles or modifications but I didn't care of this so much - but when i didn't find the function in the audio section I was said - finally I checked the version of Sygic and it's 11.0.1 - so I don't really know what goes on - somebody uploaded the hacked 11.0.1 as 11.0.2 - or just my device can't install this sygic version properly? - After all there is a little difference between the original 11.0.1 and the 11.0.2 - a little bit slower than the older one and sometimes the screen freezes - but after a while it navigates well with the old functions...

I installed it on an Htc Sensation, i downloaded the map with the downloader and it seems to work fine. My only question has to do with the fact that while i was searching the program's menu at "My Sygic" there's a prompt to activate the softaware. Do i have to do something? Will the software be full functional for all time?

When I have installed it on my HTC Desire and want to run it I have a problem:

"When parsing local database: At line 790, column 0: no element found"

Does anybody know this problem and how to fix it?

@Jhonybravo: If i check under the button "about". I see that i have version 11.0.1. If i check android manage apps, i see 11.0.2.

Other ppl also have version 11.0.1 when you tab the About button?
