Apologies if this is a dumb question but...I cannot seem to get the bat file to run properly. I have both the bat and wget.exe file in the same directory. When I open the bat file, the console appears but says:-
"WGET.EXE is required !!! Version 1.16 or higher !!!
Please download WGET.exe from....
Press any key to continue..."
Any key press merely closes the window.

I have tried opening/running the wget.exe file but a console briefly appears and then disappears.

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong.

The antivirus might be blocking the wget.exe

My Sygic 14.3.4 crashes with the new TA v.9.00 2021.09 maps too.
Works fine with TA v.9.00 2019.09.

Possibly stupid question. When comparing maps, wcl and speed cameras downloaded with this tool to Sygic original download, all file sizes and hashes match apart from offlinespeedcams.dat. Both 09 and 10 versions of the offlinespeedcams.dat are same file (size and hash) and smaller than the Sygic original offlinespeedcams.dat.

Does anyone know why and what the difference is?

Only a stupid question if you know about batch files.
second, speedcams file is not the only one that is diffrent.
Content.info and the files in de WCL basemap can differ.

here's why:

You can open the TMPeConsoleDownloader.bat with a text editor, NOTEPAD.exe
for the Normal sygic app:
Content.info is a range of lines that are written, not downloaded
You can also open this file with a text editor (Content.info file), you will see that the old file is diffrent then the newer version from de newer sygic apps

speedcams is downloaded from http://cdn-osc.sygic.com/offlinespeedcams/offlinespeedcams.sqlite.
But this does not ensure that it is always the updated file, you can find an update function in the app itself.

The wcl basemap is downloaded from http://cdn.sygic.com/in-app-data/maps/Europe/ta.2016.09/wcl/ <- sygic arm version
and from http://cdn.sygic.com/in-app-data/maps/Europe/ta.2018.07/wcl/ for the newer sygic version ARM64
so from 2016 and 2018...thats 5 and 3 years back.

if you downloaded an patched arm64 app, you need the sygic 20 version maps (SDK server folder)
if you use the full arm version ( not the arm64 version), you need the older maps (MMU server folder)
You will notice this in de app, the MMU mapps will not appear in the arm64 version.
But, the SDK maps will appear in some ARM versions, but when searching for an adres, you get a message, Country is missing, please download the maps.

Thanks for the detailed response, much appreciated. I was only asking as I didn't know if using the downloader would get the latest speed cameras. Version 18 of the Sygic app had the update function for speed cameras in Settings>Info, however I have not found the same function in version 20 and suspect they are updated with the 'free' map updates 3 to 4 times a year (or maybe more frequently in the background). I'm using the paid version of the app and the offlinespeedcams.dat is 4.75MB and dated 22 September when the 'free' September update was made available for download.
