Well it works fine for now, but looking in Sygic store it says Trial valid until 26/3/2014. And I did a total fresh install and used the instructions. So what this tells me is that it is a trial version that will stop working at 26/3. We will see.

Mine says trial. Both beta 1 and 2 have said trial.

Uninstalled version 13.2. Installed 14.0.0 beta 2.
Copied Sygic folder with contents over to SD card - with maps, etc.

Launched Sygic. It then gives the following messages:
"Looking for resources to download"
"Downloading failed because you may not have purchased this app"
"Downloading resource file from GooglePlay failed."

Contents of Sygic folder include Android, LoquendoTTS, Maps, Res folders, and 'version' file.
Maps subfolder does content content.info and wcl subfolder along with the individual state maps.

What am I missing? Some folks said the had to install the Sygic folder in main memory, but that was related to KitKat? My phone is still on JellyBean.

Bah, nevermind. As skchattha noted in a previous post, change the version file from 74 to 77 and it won't look for the download. Please change the version file from 74 to 77 in the download links - beta 2 apparently needs version 77.

Can you pls explain how to change the nr version from 74 to 77..
When i go to my sygic folder in my phone(LG G2),it has a ver file but i cannot edit it....and it says nothing about version nr

Open the ver file using notepad or wordpad,
Change the number from 74 to 77.
Save to desktop as a .txt file
Delete the .txt from the file name on the saved file so it is now called "version" as in the original file.
Replace original file with this new one.

im new here and i have htc one .my questions are:
1. this phone doesnt have sd card , so how can i install the app (sygic) ?

2. is there any difference between beta 1 to beta 2 ?

3. i have downloaded this map downloader file - Sygic-Map-Downloader-2014.03-1.4-(13.3.2014) -
i first extract the rar and inside there are two files - sgcmapdownloader.cry + sgcmapdownloader14 , NOW , what to do with THESE fileS?
how can i choose what map to download? from where i can download the desire map? ...where can i find the maps of: israel and germany and usa?

UPDATE !!! i installed the app and on the beginning screen it show me that this is a trial (version) , a trail , not full cracked? to ignore this massage?
do i have to sign in to sygic as they requested?

1. SD Card doesn't refer to an inserted SD Card but rather the main memory and it is usually referred to as SDCard0. Plug in SD cards are normally referred to as ExtSdCard. The Sygic folder is stored in the 'root' of SDCard0 (or main memory) - this is not the root of the phone. The simplest way is if you connect your phone to your PC, the phone will show up in Windows Explorer, that is where you dump the Sygic folder.

2. Not installed it yet, as Beta 1 is working fine.

3. Run sygicmapdownloader(.exe) on the PC. This gives you the option of downloading one or many individual maps at one go. The download speed is very good and without all the nuisance you normally get with download sites. Germany is in the Europe section (info for our American friends). The USA map is in the America section, download the States you require.

4. Ignore the Trial warning, as when the 7 days pass without a problem. You don't need to sign in. The whole point of Sygic is that you don't need a data connection for it to work. The sign in is for them to anonymously get an indication of traffic management and if you pay for it the routing around traffic jams.

In the Sygic folder there should be a Maps folder. Inside that you place the folder for each map - ie for Florida it should look like: Sygic\Maps\ufl.ta.2014.03

Then you make sure for each map you have that it has a corresponding entry in the content.info file (again in the Maps folder). The entry for Florida should be TA:UFL:2014.03 without this the map will not show up in Sygic. The simplest way to edit this content.info file is to copy it to the PC and open it with Notepad, edit it, save it and copy it back to the phone. You only need to edit the 'maps=' section of the content.info file.

If you want to use the map of Vietnam(2013.08), then SYGIC\MAPS directory must contain only two folders (and file content.info):
