problems with installing multiplayer version, singleplayer makes absolutely no problems...

"Application manager cannot install this application on your mobile devicedue to an invalid setup file. Reinstall and try again"
the same thing happens when i try to install via CAB file...

does it work on win2003 not-SE (ipaq 4150) at all? Can somebody post installed version and/or proper CAB file?

edit: i used MSCEInf.exe to unpack cab, so cod2mp works now on my 4150 :)

I have a 400 mhz Dell Axim x5 running WM2003 v4.2.1081 (Build 13100) and I can't get COD 2 Single or Multi player to install either with the cab (says is not a valid Windows CE setup file) or from the desktop computer (says it is not compatible with current device). Can anyone help? And both posts (single and multi player versions) report that it runs on WM2003.
Thanks for any help,

use apps such as memmaid, sktools.
a hard reset will take you to factory settings.
some ram will always be used. normally the pc needs about atleast 35%. so youre 25 sound prolly right. unfortunately

Go into your Windows/Startup folder and check what you have in there. The links in there tell your ppc what to run every time you restart it. Only keep what is necessary on startup to free up RAM. Also, have your programs actually close if you click on the X rather than stay running (to see what programs you have running, go into settings>system>memory>running programs. Get a process manager and see what is using up a lot of RAM. Also, as already mentioned, programs such as SKTools and MemMaid have RAM Freeup tools.

ok, please update your profile to include your ppc and os. thanks :D

now to your q...
I can provide you links to both these softs here on the site; but i think itll benefit you more if you use the search feature.
learning how to search for apps/games will help you out so much in the future.

Below the ppcw banner on the left side, enter SKTools or Memmaid click search. enjoy.

memmaid is relatively easy to use. you should have no problem installing and using.

Nilson: please start a new topic in this section: viewforum.php?f=9 if you want to continue this discussion. The Call of Duty thread is really not the right place to discuss this type of problem.

Release Tester's Review

Tested/Working on: WM5 / WM6
Not tested on: PPC2000 / 2002 / 2003/ SE
Rating: Originality: 7/10 - Quality: 9/10 - Performance: 8/10 - Average: 8/10
Comment: Although the iPaq HX4700's touch pad caused control problems relating to movement, the game was still enjoyable and very fun. It is a perfect port of the PC classic to PPC. It keeps what works on a mobile device and gets rid of what doesn't. The graphics are very good, some of the best on PPC, however the performance hitches up occasionally but not enough to hinder the enjoyment of the game. Another fault of this game is IT IS YET ANOTHER WWII GAME! While this genre has been beaten to death on other platforms it is still quite unique on the PPC platform. And it wouldn't be CoD2 without a few Nazi's.
Also look at:
- Duke Nukem 3D
- Pocket Doom

There are also very few missions and not many different playing options in the missions themselves. For example, you can only follow a set path through the missions, you cant actually walk around or explore your surroundings. Enemies also tend to appear out of nowhere. Graphics are amazing though and gameplay is very smooth. Controls are also very simple. 9/10.
