No TTS with this version, correct?...wrong...see Edit

EDIT: This cracked EXE tries to use TTS from the LTTS folder, but the licence has expired. Can you get around this walek75? It would be great, because the voice is that of Susan, the same as the non-TTS voice component.

It look's like Finean released by Hsu doesn't have Internal TTS (exist 2 version: with TTS or without TTS). Text to speach in Finean may work in two way:
1. Internal TTS (phoneme resources and lex files are in ITTS folder)
2. external Loquendo TTS Engine (unfortunately Finean require Loquendo Engine version 7, i have only old 6.9 version from iGo), Engine DLLs in LTTS\engine folder, phoneme, lex, etc in LTTS\Data folder.
If Loquendo TTS engine was found by Finean, application reads registery keys HKLM\SOFTWARE\Loquendo\LTTS7\LicenseCode, for valid license.

Is there a way to prevent the executable from looking for the license?

Hello guys.
My tomom one v3 (non sd slot) pooped for no reason after, one year (did the reformat and nothing, tried soldering an SD card to it and nothing) so I bought a Polstar (ironically same company the makes Polnav), Roadmentor i.e PRM 1000 from ebay.
Problem is it only has Netropa IntelliNav map for the west coast of the U.S (im from NY), stupid ebay seller from Oregon never noticed it doesn't have all of the U.S like he listed.

I was able to find the latest firmware and a Netropa IntelliNav europe map but that's all.

OS: Win CE .NET 4.2 Core

The SD card has "IntelliNav.exe. relaunch.exe" and some other stuff. The Windows OS is only 8.1mb in the device. Oddly the seperate drive in active sync where the OS is says 1.53mb of 1.65mb.

I copied everything from the 44mb Polnav 5 rar to an empty 64mb SD card to see if anything loads and nothing happened.
I tried renaming the polnav_rm_release.exe to the intellinav .exe files orignally found and nothing worked.

Is there a way to install this or any software to my device?

I just need to navigate around New York

I guess I didn't consider how old the gps is.

By the way, I can't edit or Delete any files in the windows directory inside the units internal drive.

How do I install the software you listed? I can only plug the unit into USB and just view files or edit the sd card.
i.e I can't run anything I want on the gps.
How do I make it boot the new software basically?

HA! I forgot to make sure the root folder Netropa IntelliNav was there too. It works now! I get cannot find map data files error but that's ok Im waiting for my sd card reader I ordered.

Hmm nothing is saved on the SD card or something because once i turn of my gps all my data is lost. Weird. Never mind, I set everything to archive before, now it's back at default and everything works great.

I agree with BIG RED question mark if the crack is not completed. It seems there is another check point.

The original retail version Polnav v6.02 ,include TMC,TTS and 2009Q4 Taiwan map.

great. using the 2008q2 na map right now.

You need to change \Polnav6\ISTTS\setting.ini file to

[Config]
Enable=2
Section=English-Terry

for english tts.


BTW: the english tts is horrible.
