According to several years of study on different aspects of short memory, a large collection of tests based on shapes, colors and numbers has been gathered and used for examining and training the working memory.
Resco Brain Games comprehends more than 35 different tests labeled in three categories; calculation, memory and analysis. Progressive difficulty, in-depth statistics and daily point chart keeps the track of your learning progress as well as encouraging you to train more.
• Interface (9/10): The game interface is designed well. Both stylus and hardware buttons are supported and big high-quality icons allow you to use your fingers to navigate through menus. One of the interesting features added to this game is the touch control support which means scrolling lists is easily done by finger sweeps. However, it doesn’t support screen rotation and can only be played in portrait mode.
• Gameplay (9/10): Whenever we talk about playing games on PocketPC, easy-to-use menus, one-handed playing, complete yet easy to setup game options are what make a game better or worse than others. As discussed before, Resco Brain Games supports hardware buttons as well, so playing the game with one hand is undemanding.
• Game Speed (10/10): The startup loading is fast and there’s no delay in the game. Furthermore, clean flowing animation and smooth scrolling has no postponement.
• Memory and Battery Consumption (9/10): Most puzzle games are battery friendly since there’s no sound and visual effects in this kind of games. Resco Brain Games requires 2.18MB of storage memory and could be installed to the storage card. It needs 990KB of program memory while running.
Conclusion: Almost all games in this category are designed well and it’s really hard to find substantial disadvantages. Resco Brain Games has some high-quality competitors such as Advanced Brain Trainer and SPB Brain Evolution.
