I can't remember how I did it but when you get the no database loaded message isn't there an option to point the viewer to the database location? Take a look to see if you can do that and if you can't then post back here and I will uninstall and then reinstall mine and find out.

There is a 'tool' menu in the bottom left corner of the screen, but when I point on it all the menus are greyed out except the 'beam application' one. I guess there must be someway to enable the 'option' submenu there in order to load database.
So if you could, pls take some time to have a look at that, thanks alot :)

Well I just uninstalled my dataviewer but when I reinstalled it it found the database immediately. I think that in order to do the original processes I would have to delete the databases too and obviously I don't want to do that. Have you installed the dataviewer to main memory? I installed the dataviewer to main memory and keep the databases on my storage card. I have had problem with database programs before when I installed the main program as well as the databases to the storage card, nowdays I install the main program to main memory and put the databases on the storage card.

Did any of this help? If it didn't please post back as I don't mind helping you and maybe someone more experienced than me could offer some advice.

Actually I don't have a memory card. Everything is on my main storage, so I guess there must be something wrong. But anyway, thanks alot for your help :)

Quote from dataiewer website:

I've installed the Database, but I'm still getting the "No database installed. Visit PocketDirectory.com to download a database." message.
DataViewer can only see the Database from certain locations on your handheld. In order for DataViewer to read a Database from the handheld RAM, the Database must be placed in any one of the following RAM directories:
• Root of device
• \Program Files\Town Compass\*
• \My Documents\*
*Note: The Database can be placed in any subdirectory within this directory and DataViewer will still be able to find it. If the Databases are in one of these directories and you still don't see them in DataViewer, try tapping on the Refresh icon () at the bottom of the screen.

End quote!

What you should do is put the database file in "my documents", and it should work fine.

Good luck!
