If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with Pocket PCs post it here.

1. You may need to get a replacement screen, it sounds like a hardware issue that no amount of help here can solve <_<

2. The only common device ID is the IMEI number, and that's easily revealed by making a call to "*#06#". This isn't a real number, it's a phonepad code that should work on any GSM phone. If this isn't what you're looking for, I can't help you, as different programs seem to have a different way of giving your device an ID.

If you can't see your device ID in any given program (ie, you get 000000 etc), that means your device is locked. Mine isn't when I brought it, so I can't really help here, but I think an unlocking tool is avaliable on http://www.xda-developers.com. Use at own risk, tho.

by the way ultimate chicken
from number one answer you told me it may be due the defective lens- can it happen even if there are no sign of crack or even a slight blot to the screen?

It could happen. The place where you store your stylus is very close to the touchscreen mechanism. I've heard tell that some people manage to slowly misalign/damage their touchscreens simply by taking out/putting back their stylus many, many times.

Whatever the case is, you might want to send that device into a shop.
