Hi,

I was wondering what's wrong with my HTC P3300, it started a little while ago and it's only on my memory-card. Some of my folders have disappeared (don't think they're gone just hidden or something) and everything is in weird characters with names such as "À¶+S¾òª" etc.

I scanned it for viruses and spyware it found nothing, so what's wrong!?

I've had this for a week now thought I'd go away by itself, rebooted several times etc, nothing!

What can I do, what's wrong?

dunno what to tell you - it happens every once in a long while with my p4350 too, usually fixed by just turning the phone on/off (not a reset, just the power button...) - all files right where they should be no prob.

I did that a few times before, and in the beginning it worked, even with reset everything went back to normal etc, but recently no, nothing, still the same.

Folders missing, others misspelled and with weird characters and nothing inside etc.

I would clean & re-install everything but it took such time to add all the 1GB files and stuff I'm looking for other options before turning to my last resort!

The problem you describe is a corruption of the Micro Sd Card.
Luckily there is a solution for this problem.
HTC have published a patch.

This patch has solved all my problems.

Thanks for the help everyone, really appreciate it. I tried the patch but it didn't help , so I deleted all the folders, softwares etc.

I've got a few files left though with weird characters as name, and I can't seem to delete them. How can I delete files which don't want to be deleted? I just want the memorycard clean, no single files at all and start all over.

Just format your memory card.
I use resco explorer for this.
Make sure the patch is installed in main memory.
As i said before:
I never had any problems again after using the patch.
