Hello!

I use GPRS on my HTC P3300 for direct push email, and for Internet browsing when there's no wifi network available. It's been working very well until yesterday.

Yesterday I installed several programs, and the GPRS ability seems to be gone from my phone. I uninstalled them, but no luck.

When I say "gone" I mean:
- the little "G" indicating GPRS availability does not appear any more.
- when I go to the connection manager, the icon to select GPRS Data is greyed out.
- if I run a program which requires GPRS connection (such as PIE), a very brief dialog appears saying trying to connect, then it disappears suddenly and no connection is established.
- a program such as Spb GPRS Monitor shows no connection (the GPRS icon is crossed out and cannot be enabled).
- the GPRS connection prefs are unchanged to the best of my knowledge (I checked all of them).
- a soft reset won't help.
- know my operator's GPRS services are alive and well, because I checked with a different phone and the same SIM card.

Last resort seems to be hard reset, but before that, is there anything I could try? some obscure registry setting perhaps? TIA.

OK, I'm answering myself, perhaps someone else will find this useful. The culprit was AnthaVPN. I removed it and GPRS came back. Cheers!
