If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with Pocket PCs post it here.

Ok this forum has 10000+ members and you have to be a member to post anything, but you can gain access to all of the links by just logging in as a "guest".
My concern is this.
On a specific Gps topic, one kind individual had uploaded in excess of 500 separate maps on Rapidshare, yet in one foul stroke RS deleted the lot due to a complaint.
Whilst it could have been a traitor, it is more likely that this was the result of a so called Guest snooping around.
Why cant this forum be like others and stop any information being read by so called guests who clearly would seem to have malicious intent.
Please consider logging in as a member before any other details ref this forum is permitted.
Whilst protected links may be the answer they involve far more setting up
which can be discouraging.
Time for consideration.

The true strength of this forum is it's open character, that anybody can access it without any restriction or limit. In the beginning there was even the possibility to reply as guests, but since while we were getting more popular every month and got more and more spammers as a result, we decided to shut that option down. Until today that is still the only restriction and we are very proud of that.

On the other hand, it's still very easy to register so replies can still be made within a few seconds. No matter if one is registered or not, anybody can complain so there is no point at all to close up this forum like all the others did.

It's open character is just THE reason I joined this forum and sticked to it, and I think most of us will agree on that :)

No matter, files will always be uploaded again by somebody so it shouldn't be a very big problem anyway.

BTW, 10,000 members? We just past the 30,000 :D
