If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with Pocket PCs post it here.

Hello. I need a new phone, since I have been phone-less for a year now (last phone was SPV C500). I need to take the train 1+ hour every day, so I would like some good gaming possibilities. I saw that the Pocket PC's have all kinds of games, like Warcraft 2, Age of Empires, Flux Challenge, Call of Duty, Quake, Tomb Raider, Worms etc. How are those games? How do you play them? With the stylus or how (and can you navigate around in Windows with just your fingers?)? Are they any fun? Any good suggestions for a small, handy, fast Pocket PC (with no QWERTY)? Or would a Smartphone be better to play games on?

Misterhamper,
Yes ppc users enjoy a large number of great games of all types and sizes.
Game play varies game to game... from just use of the stylus (or your finger on the screen) to a complex system of keys and stylus usage. Since the array of great games spans all genres and sizes, I recommend you go to the games section and try what ever interests you (support the developer if you plan on contuing using their product); specially since everyones opinion is different - try one or two for yourself and give us your input on the game you tried.

As for a phone, I recommend a ppc; there are many brands and types so shop around for which ever one has the spex that meets your needs.

Enjoy.

Thank you for the answer.

I was thinking about, how is a 200MHz CPU for running games like Age of Empires, Tomb Raider and Worms? I suspect it can't run games like Call of Duty.
Because I can't find any small, good-looking PPC-phone that have over 200MHz (maybe you have any suggestions?). I looked at HTC Touch, and it will be out soon and probably won't be too expensive. I also looked at QTek S100, which is quite small and have 400MHz - but sadly, it don't have WM5.
Maybe you know a site, where I can search for phones based on weight, CPU etc and it will give me some suggestions?

:)

EDIT!
What about the QTek S100? I know it only has WM2003SE (but it can't really be that bad, now can it?). It is small, good-looking, has 416 MHz, a good battery, is very cheap. Pretty much perfect except the missing WM5. Do you think I should buy that phone?

EDIT EDIT!
I found an used, but in very good condition, QTek S110 for 140€ (a new costs 500€) so I'm buying that :) Have a nice day.
