I have little problem...

When I'm using CABinstall (diffrent versions-no matter) to install any cab files i have this problem:

I'm choosing cab file, destination, then I'm starting installation and... boom wm6 asks me where install this file: to default storage, or memory card... no word about destination which I've choosed before...

Does anybody know solution? or some other application(s) to solve this ?

CABinstall is only compatible with PPC 2002, 2003(SE). when installing a CAB file on WM5 and WM6 devices, you'll be prompted to choose the destination. though you can select either Main Memory or Storage Card, you have no chance to define the destination path.
i'm afraid currently there's no way to install CAB files to a specific folder on WM5 and WM6.

YES !! I found it !!

There is the way !!

1. Download application WinCe Cab Manager link:

Code: Select allhttp://rapidshare.com/files/55250550/WinCE_Cab_Manager_v2.1.zip

crack inside rar
2. Choose your cab and open it in the app
3. press cabinet, properties, installation directory, type your destination by pressing on \ and new folder, type your folder name (you can make whole tree of folders)
4. press ok, save cab, copy to your PDA
5. install it normaly on storage card

What we have?
We have installed app on storage card in directory which we made earlier

Ps2. If you have normal setup (without cabs) start install it, press cancel on your pda, look in your activesync install folder and there you will get your cab (some times apps install in diffrent directory than activesync install dir)

thanks for sharing this great tutorial. although it's not a regular and easy way of installing CAB files to a specific folder, it sounds very useful to those who concern about the exact location of the installed applications.

Yes infernal I know its little difficult way of installing apps/games and so on, but (if some1 know diffrent, less complicated method please shere it) its only way to do this... I hate to have mess in my storage card
