Hey everyone,

I am not sure if anyone else experience this problem with RapidShare but it keeps telling me that I have exceeded my download and that I have to wait "x" amount of minutes. The thing is I have never downloaded anything off RapidShare for over a week. I waited for the time to expire and tried again, but then it just reset and I have to wait another 183min.

Anyone else having this problem?

Hi, friends of mine suggested to:

1. clear internet cookies --> I haven't tried though
2. stop the internet connection for a while then re-connect it --> sometimes it works sometimes I also got same results (waiting for certain period to be able to download it)
3. buy premium account --> which now I try for 1 month :lol:

well, hope that helps!

cheers,
andree

It depends on the way you're set up to connect to the internet.

If you have a direct connection to the net (without you being in a LAN or an ISP providing connections thru a router-type setup, both of which will give your computer an internal (not public) IP address that starts with 192.X.X.X), that shouldnt happen. but if you ARE in such a setup, your public IP address is being shared with other computers in your area, some of which do use rapidshare most of the time - hence you get that message. Rapidshare thinks it was you who downloaded but in fact it was someone else, because you and that other person share your public IP. go to
Code: Select allwww.showmyip.com
to see your public IP address.

You're best bet would be to buy a premium account if that were the case.
