Hi,

I like to add my custom poi's (now in TOMTOM.OV2 or GPX) to IGO8 beta?
I tried to find good information, but this am confused.

Read about speedcams and automatic conversion. But I do like to add normal poi's, not with warnings etc.

On the board I found a .poi for my country. But I like to have my own.

Please help me out.

Best regards,
Erik

iGo8 POI's can be downloaded from http://www.poiplaza.com/

It uses KLM files (same as Google earth?), that go into the igo8\content\userdata\poi directory

Once you move them into that folder, restart IGo8, then go to "Manager", then "POI", and you have to turn on each set.

I've found that if you have too many in there, IGo8 is so sluggish it's unuseable, and I've even gotten out of memory errors.

It appears that it creates a KIX and KLN (?) for each KLM, which may be causing the slowness.

Hope that helps

Ah, and the POI Explorer does not appear to work with IGO8, I couldn't get it to work.

Hello

I seem unable to find iGo8 POI downloads for UK/GB on this forum. Anyone know where else to get them?

Thanks
