only recently have i noticed that i cant choose any ringtone for my spv m1500 running wm2003. it forces me to the default tone.
dont know what i did prior to this.
i tried a soft reset but, didnt work.
a hard reset though worked,surely.
i think its a registry problem.
any input on this?

the issue is that its a recurrent problem.
it comes and it goes.
and not knowing the cause is a more serious issue.
what im trying to get here is to know the possible cause so as to prevent it from coming back.
opinions from the experts are highly appreciated.
doing a hard reset every now and then is quite annoying, not to mention tedious as well.

If not maybe u can try program such as Ringo to choose your ringtone.

Have you checked whether you have two contacts with a same number ?

This happens to me also

Mostly by change in the registry created by Panoramic phone genius when I uninstalled it
