Guys i lost my diamond and so had it barred with o2, i after left o2 and upgraded to vodafone to a HD

i found my diamond in my friend cars on saturday (6 weeks later!!)

i have called o2 to unbar the phone bit they cant seem to do it as i left them and moved to vodafone. BUT vodafone cant do it because the phone was locked by o2

what can i do?????!!!!!! can anyone help with some advice?????? i can prove its my phone with receipts and well they have been trying for 1 week to unblock and are still struggling..................

Do u have a valid IMEI to use on the phone?

yes i have proof of purchase and the imei SHOULD be valid because it smine and its technically been unblocked now i found it again, its jus they cant make it gte signal as some data is stuck in between 2 network providers

Man, some how i must be bale to do this

Vodafone can do it, as it's their net what you are using.

The phone itself isn't locked. The phone's IMEI is blocked in their (Vodafone's) net. So they have to unblock their net for your IMEI.


EDIT: Are you sure you are talking about an IMEI ban (thread topic)? Your problem might be a SIM or net lock and that is a totally different thing.

ok now o2 managed to unblock the handset, but it only works with o2 and tmobile.

when i put my orange sim inside it doesnt work????? any idea whats happened????

Your phone is sim locked. It means you need to get some software to unlock it and make it work on any provider.

but its an orange handset? i unlocked it when i bought it

also it works on tmobile AND o2 AND network 3, so surely its unlocked? is it possible when o2 unblocked the handset the sim lock reset?

Here in germany O2 uses T-Mobile network too (roaming contract).

So your device is surely still "net locked". So you can use O2 and T-Mobile only.

my friend it is NOT network or sim-locked. it was originally a orange hadnset which i sim unlocked. i used for 1 year on o2 and vodafone also. after barring handset and unbarring it doesnt come up as unlocked it just doesnt allow signal. i have paid AGAIN for unlock code and no difference

again today i spoke to o2 they dont know what else to do for me - its now nearly 4 weeks!!!!

please someone help!

i want to do this with my HTC polaris i found in a taxi last week.
i tried iwizard_979 but it gives me a strange imei when reading with letters in??
i woulndt of been too bothered as i have a nokia 5800 on contract anyway but i upgraded the handset to windows 6.5 and its really good
