If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with Pocket PCs post it here.

Hi guys,

I have Samsung i900 Omnia. I connected internet via wifi this morning (I am using this device since 4 months and wifi was always good) then I went to my university and I realized that when I touch the Wifi button which turns it off, it doesn't respond. I can turn on and off the "phone" and "bluetooth" but Wifi button just doesn't respond. Also there is another button which turns off everything (wifi, phone and bluetooth), i tried that too, everything but wifi disabled. I don't know what I did wrong. There was a software called WeFi or something like that, i tried to open it but it didn't respond and then this thing happened i guess.

I uninstalled the program called WeFi, I soft-resetted it many times, i removed duplicate notifications with SKTools but still I can't disable my wireless. It just says, it can't find any connections or something like that and that's it. It doesn't search for any available networks, so i can't find any networks to connect. How can i fix this? I also tried a program called WifiMonster to see my wifi's status but it just says "Compatible WiFi adapter was not found".

EDIT: I reinstalled WeFi, it started at first but couldn't find any connection spots, also didn't respond to "Repair Wifi" command. I closed it and tried to open it again but I got this error: "Your device does not support WiFi!". WTF?!

I don't want to hardreset it as there are tons of apps. Please help.

Thanks for reading.

Why not hard resetting and restoring the latest backup?

Thanks for your response. I took 2 different backups with Spb Backup. One was for everything and other one was without system data. Then I hardresetted it. Wifi is working on the hardresetted Omnia. Button is working, it can search&find networks etc so this is not an hardware problem. Then I restored it with the full backup and it didn't just restore all the programs but also the wifi problem, so Wifi problem is still there with the full backup. I tried to restore it with the 2nd backup but nothing happened.

I'll try another Backup program tomorrow but in this time if there is anyone who can solve this problem please help!

Thanks for reading.

All i can say, WeFi is the program that screwed your WiFi settings. Stay away from it, i had a similar experience with it. Luckily, i did a full backup not long BEFORE installing WeFi, hard resetting and restoring from it did the trick.

Thanks for your response. Yeah it looks like that I need a backup of before WEFI messed up my settings or my driver and I don't have :) Now I have to hardreset and install everything again. Anyway this will be a lesson for me to use the scheduled backup function. Thanks for your responses again.

EDIT: I also linked back to here in WeFi's thread.
