im having serious problems with my wifi. this is wat happens, i go to a mall, and search for wifi connections. i connect to one, it says connected in my wifi manager, then when i click my internet explorer and try to load any page and it says "cannot load page" all the time. how can i use a wifi connection?? do i have to change any settings or something

hmmm, you shouldn't have to change anything.
try a different browser.
i use opera 9.6
hopefully that will solve the problem.

some things allow connection, but you need proxy settings etc to access the network

Thanks for helpin out bendy,
I have only had limited wifi usage on phones,
well to be exact like two weeks worth of usage,
and then I got a different phone. :D

ok so i done some searching i found a forum that had some suggestions, the forum is http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-U ... 7491c48fd1 , and the settings that should be used according to the one guy there is

Menu > Settings > Connections > Browser Connection > Put a check on the box Automatically detect settings. The Select Network is greyed out.

Menu > Settings > Connections > Connections > Advanced Tab > Click Select Networks > Set both drop-down boxes to My Work Network

Menu > Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Network Adapters Tab > My network card connects to: WORK


I have not tested these setings out yet but as soon as i do ill give feedback. hope this helps other omnia users
