but didnt find anything useful,
all i want to do is to install icq and some other programs on my htc touch pro. the folder consists of several files and setup.xml and i dont what to do with it...maybe pack it somehow into .cab ??

Not sure, I think cabs use that "setup.xml" for a install or something,
Are you sure you didn't just unrar/unzip a cab file?
But whenever I have a standalone xml file I use the advanced config program and they have an import xml option in there.
But I think that's only for provisioning xml files, not sure if that's the same thing.

Usually you have exe (to install via ActiveSync with the PC) or CAB files (to install on the mobile). If you unpack said CAB you end up with a bunch of files, including a xml file, containing all installation informaton. You cannot install these extracted files.
Repacking them into a CAB might be possible, I didn't try this. If you don't have the CAB file you have a really hard time.'
You can create/edit CAB files with special editor, just use search within this forum.
However, be sure you know what you do...
