If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with Pocket PCs post it here.

Hi LifeHacker,

Can I really push my new upgraded Xda Atom Executive as my previous one is Atom.

But it is so risky as it could be over heated!

Comment on this is appreciated

If you use one of the two softwares reccomended in this guide (Pocket Hack Master, XCPUScalar) it should be more or less safe, they do special tests on speeds your Pocket PC can handle to prevent overheating and other damage.

yeah ..i try with active sync...still the same... ill guest ill do it manually ..thnx 4 the tip lifehacker

Another trick you can try if you are unable to uninstall an application is to reinstall the app and then immediately uninstall it (you can run MemMaid or like utility afterwards).

Personally, I like to keep my system as clean as possible and I've found Spb Backup to be my beeeeeest friend in this regard.

Thanks LifeHacker for these guides.

Do you have any tip for optimizing the main storage space.

There are lots of programs that come by default when I purchase my atom. Can you show me how to remove some of them like Internet explorer b/c I use operata now and powerpoint mobile. I want to move it to SD card so that I have more space for the O/S or for caching.

Appreciated...

Most of the programs that come with your PPC when you buy it are in the ROM and can not be deleted. You can use cleaner programs such as MemMaid, SKTools and others to clean your system of unwanted files. Also there is a tweak that allows you to store the cache on an sd card. Most cleaner programs with tweaking options have it. You can however move your other programs to your storage card (you can do this by selecting where they get installed in ActiveSync).

You can always remove old values and entries manually. I have tried both Pocket Mechanic and MemMaid and sometime PM finds things that MemMaid does not, sometimes the other way around. In general (as far as I observed), Pocket Mechanic finds more than MemMaid although MemMaid is faster. I have both installed as well as SKTools (also a great tool).
This is my setup: MemMaid quick scan on startup (watch out for this if you have programs on a storage card that you sometimes take out), Pocket Mechanic as my simple on demand, and from time to time SKTools. It works well for me.

Thank you very much for the Guide.

Pocket Hack Master overclocked my Navmav PiN 570 from a 266 to 300 Mhz and is still super stable.

The PrtSc below will show around 14% usage but that is because of the Screen Capture program that I use to take the pics.

Program works a champ.

If you download the DVD Rips I post please leave a reply stating if you liked them or not.
I would like to know if there is any need to improve the quality of the rips.

Thanks
