If it does not belong anywhere else and has to do with Pocket PCs post it here.

Hi all,
Just wondering if there are tools/software that do the following:
1- Easy setup the email account on my Windows mobile using a PC (i.e. easy email setup through the PC not the phone)
2- Network config/setup. I couldn't fuind any WM6.1 document for network / connection set up. I expect a description on how to setup the data connection for various mobile networks. Basically it is confusing to set it up through the phone as there is no documentation available. One would like to understand the concept.
I remeber seeing a tool that runs on the phone and when you run, it asks to pick a country from the list, then pick a country GSM provider, then it sets up what ever network setting for the data connection.
3- I am having trouble to enable multi language support (to read amd write emails and sms) for windows 6.1. Every time I install the language sw it fails (e.g. not supported or OS crash and a hard reset is required). The language I am trying is Arabic and the phone sI tested are the Motorola Q9H and the Samsing Epix (i907). Is this a Windows 6.1 problem or a hack is required?

Best Regards

1. There's no app, depends on your needs, for ActiveSync/Exchange a cab file could be provided - I've never seen this in practice.
2. A cab file might be provided by the gsm network operators - I've never seen this in practice.
3. Language support is complicated...I'll try a short explanation:
-First you need to support the desired language, on XP/Vista it's with MUI, on WinCE/Mobile it's within the file wince.nls. That file is in your ROM and i the windows folder. Assuming you have WM6.1 with an English ROM, the wince.nls lacks supprt for Arabic. Two options: a) Replace the ROM - hard to impossible, but then all problems are solved. b) Replace wince.nls temporarily, which will make the device less stable, esp. wireless connections. Therefore I recommend to switch off GSM while working with the replaced wince.nls. (I have a cab file to use a Korean wince.nls, see here viewtopic.php?f=267&t=62039 (usemynls.cab) The file \temp\wince.nls must be replaced by an Arabic version of wince.nls.
If you overwrite \windows\wince.nls it won't even boot sometimes and you must do a hard reset.

For you it might be the best to replace the ROM, the other methods won't make you happy.

for 1,
you could use sashimi or a mortscript or a provisioning xml.
The last two could be created on the computer, than ran on the phone.
Otherwise sashimi has an EXTREMELY easy email setup,
but you have to install the program to a sdcard,
and it automatically installs all programs/mortscripts/executes exe's/and tons more.
After the installation of sashimi, you'd have to set up the email accounts once on the phone itself,
but then after that, you wouldn't have to again as it would be saved on the sdcard in the sashimi file folders.
