does anyone know how to delete the First speed dial (voicemail)?
the delete option is grayed out, and I'm *(^&#(*%&*(@% annoyed at it.

I just reformatted my ppc, before i did I got rid of it somehow -.-....although i have no idea how, I think I used sktools...but I'm using it again and it won't delete that annoying speed dial!!!!!

most people want that annoying thing apparently after doing some googling....-.-
but since I don't use voice mail, it is just taking space,
hope someone can help (maybe a reg key setting?)

Here's a more deatailed report of my problem

1. Voice mail thing is annoying me, it has no use expect waste space.
2. there's seems to be a blank space....when select, if unselected, a wide black box

I odn't know if this is normal or not, but I just spent a LONG TIME hardsetting/ reinstalling everything....

So I hope I don't have to do it again -.-

It's a registry entry. Try to empty or delete the following value:

Code: Select all[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Vmail]
"PhoneNumber1"="here is that phone number written ;)"

Make a backup before for security reasons!

What I did before was delete the reg key...didn't work T_T

Maybe worth to try: Create 3 new entries, 2 of them empty and the last one as DWord with value 1.

[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Vmail]
"PhoneNumber1"=""
"PhoneNumber2"=""
"RegOverridesSIM"=dword:00000001

still didn't work

I added

A dword key
Name of "PhoneNumber1" with data 0
A dward key
Name of "PhoneNumber2" with data 0
and a Dwword key
Name of "RegOverridesSIM" with data 1

am I doing something wrong?

That's wrong. Choose type REG_SZ for both. Don't add a value. Leave the values for both empty, no 0, no blank space.

The 3rd key was correct.

However i don't know if it will work, so don't blame me.

I think these variations are possible:

a) hard coded VMail (but empty) entry at SIM card + no VMail registry entries = looks like your picture
b) editable VMail (but empty) entry at SIM card + no VMail registry entries = looks like your picture
c) valid hard coded or editable VMail entry at SIM card + empty VMail registry entries = looks like your picture
d) no VMail entry at SIM card + empty VMail registry entries = looks like your picture

e) vaild VMail entry at SIM card + no registry VMail entries = valid VMail assigned to dialing button 1
f) no VMail entry at SIM card + valid VMail registry entries = valid VMail assigned to dialing button 1

g) no VMail entry at SIM card + no VMail registry entries = should result in no VMail assigned to dialing button 1

and at the last

h) the solution you had before reformatting, maybe an (for me) unknown combination of VMail registry entries

Just to point out,
I can change the Voicemail number easily, but can't delete it and I have the empty thing on top -.-
Even when I have no SIM card in, the Vmail thing is still there
Also, the empty stuff never gets used, calls don't use that space
and if I hide the keypad the empty space is twice as big

w/e it doesn't prevent my using the device, just looks annoying,

So...
I'm assuming that all wm6.1 has this view?
and it is not just a problem on mine?
So it's normal right?
I can't find any other pictures/screenshots to compare it too, been searching on google -.-

It can not be a registry entry if you already formatted your ppc. Have you tried to connect via cable to the PC? You can delete your ppc using it's software via Computer. If you have no solution for that, then try to find it from company site which ppc you are using.

something funny has happened
I hard resetted my ppc again -.-
and I did a bunch of stuff....blah blah blah...
theb something bad happened.
the reove programs list was blank,
I fixed it with a reg key,
but an unknown sideeffect was that the voicemail thing dissapeared....
I will upload my screen shot later once I get on my pc, right now on my ppc :p

really weird side effect....the reg key for the vmmail is still the default, phonenumber 1 and 2 blank....
